"Ebb Tide"

My next Guest Artist is Linda Lachance, with this beautiful piece titled "Ebb Tide", above, and below, "Iris Stained Glass Window". Linda has been designing under Northern Pine Designs for 19 years and is an international teacher of canvaswork.

"Iris Stained Glass Window"

Linda writes:

"Iris Stained Glass Window was previously only available through a class with me, but now has been released as a charted design. This is the first in a series of seasonal designs, and it is 8" x 11" in size. It utilizes a variety of overdyed flosses, Kreinik braid to create the illusion of light coming through the stained glass windows. The irises are stitched in overdyed silks and other threads.

I often use the themes of windows in my work as can be seen with my other designs including, Window on Trout Lake, Gothic Stained Glass Window, Stained Glass Cards, Frosty Panes and others. My designs are often geometric and utilize jewel toned colours".
