Orna Willis
I am so pleased to welcome Orna Willis to this Gallery. Orna's work is simply brilliant! You will have seen her exquisite designs and kits in your needlepoint specialty shops. When she was introduced to needlepoint by a friend in 1995, "I realized needlepoint was a chance to really explore art and design in a serious way," Orna said.

Orna was born in Israel and lived in Tel Aviv and the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Michigan. From her immaculate studio with sweeping views of a natural landscape, Orna now creates her spectacular designs, often borrowing the rich hues and vibrant colors visible from her window. It is here that along with creating her own art pieces, she also assembles a wide range of needlepoint design kits which you can see in wonderful detail on her website.
It is the diversity of projects that Orna is developing that makes her 'one of a kind'! Not only does she create needlepoint art pieces for framed display, but also free hanging pieces, wearable art like cuffs, collars, necklaces, bracelets, pins and decorative embellishments on clothing, as well as wallets, pouches, handbags and even frames.

This book has a dazzling display of color, outstanding charts and graphics and eight brand new ornament designs. It is a treat for any needlepointer.
2000 - The Caron Collection chose Orna as the Designer of the Month, featuring "Molecules of Fiber".
Orna has been featured in many publications including Needlepointers, Stitcher's World, Needlepoint Now and Stitchers Magazine. Orna is a regular guest on HGTV - The Carol Duvall Show.
